If you are looking for the perfect location to take your bridal photos look no further than Rosedown’s Plantation!! From the mossy trees, to the beautiful gardens, right down to the gazebos and plantation porch, this location did not disappoint. Originating in the 1820’s, this plantation has been up-kept and preserved in a way that makes having your photos taken here absolutely timeless.
We began the shoot at 9am in the morning where the sun peaked through the mossy trees perfectly and gave Alexis that perfect glow that we love to see on our brides!!
Despite the weather issues during this shoot it was nothing that we all couldn’t handle. Lucky for us we were prepared and there were some covering that we could use until the rain subsided some.
Alexis’ dress was absolutely beautiful. The simple details of it and its lacy features made her look absolutely stunning. The veil that she wore was the perfect length and her cowgirl boots she wore, gave the perfect touch of personalization to her entire attire!! And when We put her on the plantation porch and in the gazebos she looked as though she should have been featured in bridal magazines!!
Thank you for hiring me to be a part of your big day!!! I hope it was as amazing as you are!!
xoxo,
Brittney
If you are looking for beautiful landscaping, plenty of walkways and a place that will give you all the Louisiana feels throughout your entire session look no further than Myrtle’s Plantation. This historic Louisiana landmark is perfect for an intimate couples shoot that has multiple background opportunities and amazing nooks and crannies that make this location a MUST for all couples!! And what makes this location even better is that they are open un 10 pm every day which means it is the only plantation location where you can shoot before sunset and get those gorgeous golden hour photos you love so much!!
Katherine and Noah’s outfits were on point. The colors they chose really made them pop off of the surface. I just loved Katherine’s blue jumpsuit that allowed for the more adventurous posing without having to worry about a dress hiking up or constantly making sure the legs are crossed. I highly recommend jeans or pants to allow for those adventurous posing. Katherine’s dress was the perfect pale green that complemented so well for photos done where there were tons of white stone and that dip photo that everyone loves so much!! I love that for his second outfit Noah brought a hat! Hats make for a great prop during photos and what’s best will give your hands something to do other than hanging to your side or planting it on your or your partner’s limbs. I made Katherine wear the hat at times I made her hold the hat for her dipping photo and I had her place her hand on the back of the hat when they were getting nice and cozy. I highly reccomend this subtle accessory to elevate your photos to the next level!!
All in all, I give this photo shoot a huge 10/10!!
