Chapel in the Grove was by far one of the cutest locations I have ever stumbled upon. A few of my friends in the photography community let me know about this location and when I say it did not disappoint, words cannot explain it. I pull into the sub-division of St. Marie in Baton Rouge, La, and there, tucked away in the center is a small old chapel just sitting there with not one person around. I really don’t think that the residents understand what a photography gold mine this chapel really is.
José and Lorin arrived dressed on point, Lorin wearing a cute black dress tied in a knot at the bottom and José wearing a blue button-down shirt with Jeans. As much as I LOVE when couples show up dressed in formal wear I absolutely LOVED this more chill and relaxed look they showed up in.
Although the evening was so hot, being in the 100s, this couple killed their entire session doing everything I ask despite how much we were all sweating! Lorin and José were such a fun couple to work with. They were constantly laughing and smiling the entire time, all the while making silly faces at one another and cracking jokes. They were the example of what true love truly is and what every future couple should aspire to be. They often reminded me of me and my husband at times because that is exactly how we act in front of a camera.
Even though they joked and laughed the entire session I still got some amazingly STEAMY images, one of my favorites being the black and white photo in the chapel doorway. Can I just say WOW on that image!!! Couples, if you are looking for a location that is simple, private, and intimate I highly recommend choosing this simple location for your engagement session!! I rate it a huge 10 out of 10!!
